Who is a public female figure that you look up to?
Just one?! Maya Angelou for her bravery in activism and literary genius. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sheryl Sandberg for unapologetically sharing their intelligence and intent for change with the world and for being excellent examples of how women can be dynamic, successful, and forward thinking.
Why are you proud to be part of Movemeant foundation?
I believe in the power of building confidence and self-worth through movement - in whatever outlet feels most at home in your body. For me, realizing and challenging my physical strength came through yoga and connected directly to how I began to deal with situations and relationships throughout life. I'm grateful to the Movemeant Foundation for working to provide accessibility to this feeling and this tool for personal growth and self-love, especially at an early age of development when it is often the most difficult to feel comfortable in the skin you're in.
