We're closing out National Nutrition Month with a fab way to take your smoothie to the next level, thanks to our friends over at Purity.Organic (right down the street from our HQ here in SF!) It's especially great after a 45-minute long spin session (like the one we logged in this morning!) but also ideal for recovery from any workout that you're doing.
Join us as we put our blender to work for some post-workout fuel that's packed with potassium and protein. Pro tip: Cool down your blend with a flavorful alternative to water, giving you just as much electrolytes as you need. Pour coconut water into ice cube trays, stick them into the freezer, et voila! take them out for this Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie recipe.
Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie

1 Cup Coconut Water Ice Cubes
1 1/2 Cup Organic Strawberries

Their lemonade, coconut water, along with their other juices and teas, are all USDA Certified Organic, Certified Kosher, and gluten free. We love learning about different products and we were excited to hear that Purity.Organic has been in the organic scene since the late 90’s. Their founder, Greg Holzman, started working with organic farmers selling produce to retail stores. To create more demand for organic fruits, he blended organic apples, bottling their first apple juice. Visit www.purityorganic.com to find out more.
